#SummerbytheCCC23 has officially begun! What a perfect first day of the Summer 2023 season. Our largest camp season is off and running and with tremendous excitement and joy! We were delighted to welcome our campers on day one of our first session and couldn’t wait to get started!
As always, we have a busy two weeks lined up for our campers. Our staff has been preparing for the biggest summer in CCC history for months and can’t wait for all that is in store for all of our campers. Be sure to follow along as we bring back some great CCC traditions and start some new ones. We are just so excited…can’t you tell!?
Day 1 was full of energy and good nerves as campers came ready to start a new adventure…The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Jr. that is! Our busy day consisted of getting acquainted with our groups and group leaders as well as circling through our cycle of classes. The day flew by, as all camp days do at CCC, and so many had great highlights to share when talking about their first day.
Many of our campers had the chance to audition or witness auditions in the morning as well as be introduced to the music and dances of this fun musical. Flat Stanley is a first for CCC and we can’t wait to watch it come to life…literally!
Outside of getting used to the camp routine, campers also experienced art, games, faith formation and our brand new workshop featuring a behind the scenes tour and focus on production. Be sure to ask your camper about their favorite part of day 1 before day 2 begins!
