Today was an amazing start to the awesome week we have ahead of us. It took us a couple tries this morning during stage time to refresh ourselves on what we learned last week, but once we beat our early morning case of the Monday’s, the day went as smooth as ever!
We were thrilled to start this morning with “Friend Like Me”. This number really woke our campers up and got them in the groove for the rest of the day. We always take advantage of every opportunity we get in the mornings and afternoons to fine tune our larger cast numbers during stage time. This is our favorite time to sit and watch the campers put together all the songs and dances they have learned thus far, and we’re always happy to dance right along with them if they ever need help!

“One Jump!”
Today in music class we learned “High Adventure” and reviewed the rest of our songs from last week like “Prince Ali”, “Arabian Nights”, and more! A number of our campers have also gotten to work closely with one of our seasoned CCC vets, Mr. Will, when it comes to blocking out our scenes. Then in dance class, we learned “One Jump Ahead”. This is a very fun and upbeat song for all our campers and our Aladdin does great at leading the number. Come see all of this awesome work come to fruition this Thursday at 7pm or this Friday at 2pm at Cardinal O’Hara High School!

Fun for Everyone!
Faith Formation was especially fun today as our campers had the opportunity of learning the Parable of the Good Samaritan by acting it out themselves! This was great fun for the campers and also for our staff who got involved. This lesson was very nice for our younger group, but we had the chance to dive deeper with our older friends into what it means to be a follower of Christ. We learned about virtue and vice, our call to be Saints, and following Christ in our every day lives.
While we were outside today, we had relay races and some using our racing potato sacks. Our staff got in on the action in no time, which made it that much more fun for our campers. We kept up our CCC tradition of making kiss bags in art today to be used at our show. Each camper was given their own kiss bag to decorate and make as unique as they please. Finally, we put together care packages for the troops using the many donations sent in over the last week. We love putting our faith into action through service!

Campers of the Day!
Congratulations to our Campers of the Day! These campers were awarded for being an example to others, being a team player and for shining both on and off the stage! Congrats to Helana, Juliette, Maria, Tara, Hazel, and Cece! #CCCshines
