Theme days at camp have been a tradition that our campers and staff have loved for years now. U.S.A. Day is one that gets lots of love in particular thanks to the patriotic spirit of each and everyone of our campers!
As you can see we are very prepared to celebrate the 4th of July in just six days! It is so exciting for us to see what kinds of fun, crazy, silly, and unique outfits our campers arrive in. Today within the first few minutes of camp we got right into our staff challenge. Our staff split in groups and faced off in a U.S.A. themed activity that our campers loved! Thunderous applause, happy cheers, and pleas for victory come about every time we do a themed staff challenge. Check out some of the happy campers below!
Business as Usual!
The fun did not stop at U.S.A. Day! We still got our daily dose of art class with Mrs. Ellis where we made U.S.A flag themed crafts. We also spent some time in the chapel for Faith Formation. We began with a prayerful meditation using Reckless Love by Cory Asbury as background music, covered the Parable of the Lost Sheep, and then closed with a fun “hide-and-go-seek-the-lost-sheep” game.
We also made sure to get plenty of time outside in the bright, beautiful sun. Not only did our campers get to play games outside like usual, but we even hade a camp wide recess to blow off some steam before we get into running the show. There was dodgeball, tag, duck-duck-goose, and all the other camp favorites!
Finishing Touches😊
Behind all of the singing, dancing, playing, and praying at CCC is a camp full of kids that are waiting to perform for YOU! They have been putting lots of hard work and effort into putting together an amazing show that we are all extremely proud of. Today our production team worked very closely with our leads and cast to ensure that every song, dance, and scene is as polished and show ready as possible.
Our campers have been doing an awesome job this camp. The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley is sure to be a great show in CCC’s summer history and its one that you don’t want to miss! Ticket sales are open NOW either online or at the door. We hope to see you there tomorrow, Thursday at 7pm, and Friday at 2pm.
