Where has the time gone? We can’t believe the final week of CCC’s 2022 Summer Camp season is already here. The saying is true that time does fly when you’re having fun! This has been another memorable summer camp season where we met new friends, enjoyed time with old friends, learned a lot, got messy, grew in our faith, enjoyed the outdoors together and most of all grew as performers! We have been spending some time looking back on all the many fun and memorable moments from this summer the past few days. What has been your favorite?

It’s show week and we are jumping for joy as we put the finishing touches on our production of Disney’s My Son Pinocchio Jr. Be sure to join us this Thursday at 7:00pm and Friday at 2:00pm for our performances. We can’t wait to see this “CCC first” on the stage!

Monday morning came quickly as our campers came in ready to get back to work. After a morning pump up with Miss Gina, we were ready to work! Campers had a brief review of what we learned towards the end of last week and then headed to our morning break. It’s been a super hot summer so we took advantage of the cooler temperatures while we could. We even spotted a couple sweatshirts! A true sign summer is coming to an end faster than we’re all ready for!

Making Every Minute Count!

With the final days of camp happening so are the final classes of the summer! We know campers definitely enjoyed making a mess in art today. Lots of paint and plenty of smiles in the art room today!

Rooted in Faith & Fun

We’ve been lucky to have a wonderful team of young adult leaders who have guided us and shared their faith with our campers all summer long. We are blessed to have hearts on fire and a team so dedicated to make a difference for our campers. Special thanks to Elijah, Gavin & Sarah Mae for spending their time at camp leading us in Faith Formation. Whether they’re sharing a special message, playing a game or praying with or for our campers, we know they have certainly made a difference for so many throughout our camp days! Not to mention, they have led our campers to pray for so many in need right now. Thank you, team!

“When You Wish…”

Disney’s My Son Pinocchio Jr. is new to the CCC stage but the songs are definitely stuck in our head and we love the music. You can definitely hear lots of other “hidden Disney” notes in some of the other songs throughout this show.

By the end of Day 6, campers were already getting ready to walk through our show and put all the pieces together. Our 2 weeks fly by and because of that, we have to take advantage of all the time we have in class and on the stage to make sure everything comes together in plenty of time. Campers learn so much so quickly and always impress us! In just 6 days, they’re almost ready to put all the big elements together. It is amazing! We can’t wait to watch the show come to life tomorrow and Wednesday. We know we will love it!

Campers of the Day!

Congratulations to our Campers of the Day! These campers were awarded for being an example to others, being a team player and for shining both on and off the stage! Congrats to Sarah, Claire, Grace, Sophia & Scarlett! #CCCshines
