Day 2 and back to it with our fun and excited campers of Madagascar Jr.! It was a packed day of music, dance, art, games, acting, faith formation and competition! Each class was full of energy and excitement as the campers quickly began to work on our performance as well as enjoy some time off the stage with new and old friends making camp memories.

Throughout the day campers worked on two musical numbers, danced intensely to “I like to Move It!” and enjoyed the time outdoors during break, lunch and games. We heard from so many new campers about how much they have enjoyed their first two days of camp and how much they’re looking forward to the two weeks. We are so glad to see so many new faces!

Here are some highlights and memories from the day!

Production Prep

Lead cast members spent some time with Miss Gina working on blocking and their character for our performances next week! We loved seeing them work together and get so much done in just one day. Be sure to come out and see this talented group!

Staff Challenge Begins!

We love our staff and volunteers! They work so hard all summer long and are such important parts of our team. To add to their fun, we kicked off our first ever Staff Challenge today. Staff was split into 3 teams randomly and had to come up with their team name as well as participate in the first challenge of the season…A Lip Sync Contest! Team C took home the first win of the summer with 10 points for their performance. However, we enjoyed all of the silliness by all the staff and volunteers. They were sure to give us lots of laughs this afternoon! Stay tuned for the next update on our Staff/Volunteer Challenge!

Campers of the Day!

Congratulations to our Campers of the Day! These campers were awarded for being an example to others, being a team player and for shining both on and off the stage! Congrats to Logan, Ben, Violet, Brendan & Chase! #CCCshines
