Hand in hand since 2007, CCC has been building memories that have built the story of CCC. Through the years, CCC has grown and has continued to expand. Through the past year, it has been pretty quiet. The pandemic forced CCC to put on our ghost light and take the first break from the stage in a really long time. While we stayed busy online, we missed the chance to be all together and shine our light together!
We couldn’t wait for camp to begin so we could ignite the CCC flame again and welcome new members to the family! We’re seven days into our 2021 Camp Season and we are loving every minute.
Today was another jam packed day as we did our first walk through of our production. In just 7 days, our campers have learned just about all of the songs, dances and scenes for our performance. Our campers have worked so hard and continue to amaze us with their talent and energy.
We also had a opportunity to gather as the entire camp for Faith Formation today. Mr. Brac shared a personal story and reminded our campers that we have been created “in the image and likeness” of God. We also talked about continuing to shine our own personal light and how we can continue to celebrate one another’s gifts and talents. Together, #CCCshines!
In art class, campers continued to work on their Kiss Bags for our performances and also made keychains or bracelets. In games today, we got creative while we stayed out of the heat. Mr. Babcock put together historical photographs that we re-created using props. This game was a real hit! Stop by our Instagram Story to see some more pictures! Campers had a great time laughing and working together all day!
We wrapped up our day together as we celebrated our Campers of the Day! Congratulations to Avery, Lucy, Maren & Frannie! We look forward to celebrating Whacky Wednesday tomorrow! Stay tuned…!
