Summer 2021 is officially underway! We were ecstatic to welcome our first group of Summer 2021 campers here at CCC this morning! Everyone arrived bright and early with smiling faces to kick off the first day of our 2021 Summer Season.
We jumped right down to business! After our morning orientation and staff/volunteer introductions, our campers began to learn the first song of School House Rock Live! JR. “Interplanet Janet” is a fan favorite here at CCC. We bet it will be stuck in your head before you know it!
Our morning quickly went by as campers interested in lead and supporting roles auditioned while other campers rotated through games and art classes. In Art Class, campers made their own suitcase to “unpack their adjectives”. In Games, campers played a variety of games including Detective Frog, I’m Going on a Picnic, and Red Light Green Light.
After lunch, we continued to rotate through classes, including music and dance. It was so great to see our campers shining both on the stage and in our classes while they worked hard on our show already! In just a few short days, our campers will have put together much of our show.
Be sure to save our performance dates of Thursday, July 1st at 7:00pm and Friday, July 2nd at 2:00pm at Cardinal O’Hara. Tickets and additional show information will be available by mid week!
After a busy first day, campers received their camper t-shirts and wrapped up reviewing their music and dances they learned today. Tomorrow, we will continue learning and working together as we bring CCC’s production of School House Rock Live! Jr. to life!
We finished the day by announcing our campers of the day! Campers of the Day are nominated by our staff and volunteers each day. Campers of the Day are team players through the day, an example to others and who shine both on and off the stage! Congratulations to Keela, Adrianna, Ella and Michael, our first campers of the 2021 Summer Season! #CCCshines
