A Day Full of Meaning & Messages

Wow! What a beautiful day! Day 5 of The Little Mermaid brought so much joy and meaning. Our morning kicked off with a special message from our friend, Mr. Longo, who reminded us about the importance of family. Sometimes we have a lot going on at home and life can get pretty busy. Especially after being home for a while and now getting back into some routine, we quickly forget sometimes to tell our family members how much they mean to us. Mr. Longo reminded us that not only do we have our biological family, but some of our friends can become family. The message was so perfect as we kicked off our Friday filled with messages and meaning.
Following our morning time together, our campers were busy at work going through their rotations of classes. When we weren’t working on our performance, we spend time in games, art and faith formation. What an awesome day it was!
In Art, campers made their very own crab using their hands. All day we heard campers talk about how much fun it was and how creative everyone was. We have many future artist at CCC!

Being the Best Versions of Ourselves
Ms. AK and Mr. Brac led Faith Formation today! It was great to have the our fearless leaders jump in and spend time with our campers today. As an organization, CCC always focuses on bringing faith and fun center stage. It was amazing to have such a great conversation with each group as we talked about how we see other people, how to always accept others and see the beauty in everyone.
Each group had the chance to help us with our service project which was to clean up Miss Steph’s grotto at St. Kevin’s. We talked about how important team work is and how every part of the project was important – from start to finish. Campers definitely got down and dirty as they helped pull out weeds and clean out old flower pots. Each group had the opportunity to plant their own flowers and add them at Miss Steph’s grotto. Whether campers were helping clean up, plant, or water flowers, everyone was a team and cheered one another on.
Throughout the day we were surrounded by butterflies and even one special lady bug. Both have always been a sign of Miss Steph and we were happy to share that message with our CCC family today!
At the end of the day, we came together as a camp around Miss Steph’s grotto to share our appreciation for this great week that we had and pray for a safe and healthy weekend that leads into our final week of camp. There is no doubt there was many special angels with us today as we did something good. It was truly a special day. #ShineforMissSteph

Fun on our FriYAY!
This day was filled with activity from start to finish! Campers are hard at work bringing The Little Mermaid Jr. to life and we have loved bringing this Disney favorite back to CCC. We loved seeing campers sing and dance in stage time and relax with some games throughout the day. The day truly flew by!

Campers of the Day
Each day we feature campers who shine both on and off the stage and are an example to others. Congrats to our Campers of the Day: Thomas, Samantha, Noah, Keira & Jenna! #CCCshines
