A big, bright, beautiful world at CCC!

Kicking off our second session of #SummerbytheCCC20 is our talented campers of Shrek Jr.! We were ecstatic to be back on this Monday after closing an awesome first session of the summer that featured Pirates Past Noon Kids. Some CCC history was created last Friday as we held our first ever outdoor performance (socially distant, following size guidelines and all other recommendations for safety). We were filled with so much joy as we were able to perform for the first time in a very long time and are so glad to know we have officially welcomed our second group this morning. Stay tuned the next two weeks as we highlight our days at camp and feature the cast of Shrek Jr.!

Shrek Jr. Auditions

After our welcome, camper orientation, and morning snack, we began our day with auditions as well as art and games classes. It was so great to see so many campers for the first time this summer and friends come back together as we celebrated our kick off to this session. We are so proud of all of our campers who auditioned, and especially those that did for the first time. We love to see everyone grow in their confidence both on and off the stage. We especially love seeing the support from friends and fellow campers while campers auditioned throughout this morning.

Jumping into Routine!

Our day flew by as we continued circulating through our classes of dance, music, art and games. We celebrated some new staff leading the way while some of our other staff is on vacation. Through the years, we have had many alumni serve as counselors during our summer camp program. We love seeing campers go through CCC, graduate and come back to volunteer and some day join the production team or as a camp counselor. You’ll see many of our staff highlighted throughout our two weeks (and the remainder of the summer).

Camper Favorite: Art Class!

While we wrapped up our day, many campers said how much they enjoyed art class today. Campers created their own flag (for the reference of the song “Freak Flag” in Shrek Jr.) and we loved seeing their creations! Campers created their flags that had items or drawings of things and people that are important to them and “what makes them special”. This is one of the many reasons we love Shrek! The show celebrates everyones gifts and talents and what makes all unique. We look forward to seeing what else Miss Livi has planned for art class over this session!

Campers of the Day!

Each day we feature campers who shine both on and off the stage and are an example to others. Congrats to our Campers of the Day: Patrick, Monica, Erin & Zoey! #CCCshines
