Day 3 back at CCC and what a beautiful day it was! From the sunshine, to the smiles, our happy group of campers filled another day with hard work, energy and memories!
We kicked off our dance with some outdoor stage time. We focused on waking up and getting ourselves moving as we reviewed some music and dances. As the sun was shining bright on us, we prepared to move into our schedule of classes and took a break. After hydrating and a morning snack, we moved into our routine of music, dance, art and games classes with our small groups.
In art class with Miss Livi, we made our very own treasure box and talked about what we would hope to find if we ever found one! Of course, we wouldn’t mind some gold! Ask your camper what items they put in the treasure box they created.
Many of our staff and volunteers are CCC alumni! We love seeing our alumni give back to our program by spending their summers with us. It is great to see members continue to grow and learn through their experience as a camp counselor. The group pictured above is the seagulls led by Jacob B. and Maura Z. Many other camp counselors float throughout the day to assist with groups and travel with campers. We know the counselors enjoy their time at camp just as much as the campers do by their energy and smiles leading throughout the day!
1st Theme Day of the Summer! Philly Sports Day…
It was a close call on who was best represented but we saw tons of Eagles, Sixers, Phillies & Flyers gear today! Even the staff participated in our first theme day of the summer which was great! Today’s winners for our theme day were: Brian M., Erin C., Frannie Z., and Will B. Nice job, everyone!
