High School Musical Jr. Day 7!
We’re seven days deep into High School Musical Jr. and we are getting so excited for our show on Friday. High School Musical is a story of learning to accept others for who they truly are, instead of who they try to be to please others. With classic songs from the movie, such as “Getcha Head in the Game,” “We’re All in This Together,” and “Breaking Free,” the show is one that people of all ages will enjoy. The show is filled with Disney Channel Original Movie nostalgia and will take you right back to 2007. We can not wait for our audience to experience this!
We are in the home stretch of our camp, meaning it is all hands on deck to get our show taught and polished. Our campers spent time learning new music today and reviewing trouble spots with some other songs. Our full cast has learned all of the music and dances to our full ensemble numbers, meaning they always have something to review. When campers are not being worked with, you can always find them perfecting their dances, running lines, or practicing vocals. It is this diligence that really pulls our shows together.
High School Musical follows the story of Troy, a basketball legend, and Gabriella, an intelligent introvert, who meet on New Year’s Eve on a ski vacation. The two song karaoke together, which is totally out of character for both of them. When school starts back up, Gabriella moves schools. In a “Grease” fashion, she discovers that Troy goes to her new school. The two audition for the school musical, causing waves with the entire school. Breaking that status quo rocks the boat for the entire school.

It is hard to believe that we are less than one week until our performances of High School Musical Jr.! Be sure to buy your tickets. Our shows are on August 16th at 2pm and 7pm. We are so excited to see you all there! You definitely do not want to miss our closing show of the summer.
