It sure has been a busy day here at Aladdin Kids, the second summer camp of Summer By the CCC 19! The campers are all getting so excited for our show coming up this Friday, July 19th. Preparations are in progress to make sure Friday is a successful day for each one of our 150 campers.
Our camp schedule is organized so each camper experiences a variety of classes each day with their age group, but also time with the full cast. It helps our campers make friends in their age group, but also learn to work together as one big cast. The cast spent lots of time reviewing our many musical numbers in the show. Aladdin Kids includes all of the classic Disney tunes, such as “Friend Like Me,” “A Whole New World,” “Prince Ali,” and many more! The songs are so catchy and so fun, it’s hard not to sing along! Luckily, the campers get to sing and dance throughout the whole show! The campers have two opportunities to get some fresh air during the day, games and recess. We have many entertaining games going on outside, such as Dodgeball, Headbands, Connect 4, Capture the Flag and the Parachute! Campers learned about some key characters in the Old Testament in Faith Formation. This includes Moses, Issac, and Abraham. The campers were so busy today, we are sure they will be sleeping well tonight!
Sam Polito and Matt Bainbridge have been working hard on our set. Both creative O’Hara stage crew members, this team is able to conquer anything. Sam, recent graduate of Cardinal O’Hara, has spent lots of time collecting props for our actors. Matt works on sound and microphones during our performances. These two work so hard and we are so thankful for them. Thank you, Sam and Matt!

Tomorrow’s theme day is Christmas in July, since we won’t be together on July 25th. Be sure to send your campers in tomorrow wearing their best red and green gear! It will definitely be a fun day for all! Be sure to add our performances on 2:00pm and/or 7:00pm to your calendar for Friday, July 19th as CCC presents Disney’s Aladdin Kids sponsored by Mr. Dave White and many others!
