Session 1, Day 2! Bring on the Dalmatian Conga!

Day 2 kicked off with great energy and excitement as our campers returned for another day full of learning! When the sea of campers arrived, dressed in their new camp tees, there were smiles seen from the front of the theater to the back. With a night full of rest and a cast list announced, our campers were ready to go and get down to work!

From our first stage time to our final gathering today, our campers put in a full day of hard work. Campers rotated through music, dance, art and games classes as we divided and conquered to build on the foundation we had from Day 1. In Dance, we showed off our best moves as we worked on our opening number, “Dalmatian Conga”. Parents, we know this one is definitely stuck in your head already too! 🙂
In Music, we cruised through a couple of our major musical numbers and added “Kanine Krunchies” to the mix. When Mr. Brac got a bit confused about which animal we’re focused on this camp session, our youngest of campers had a blast laughing about dalmatians, flamingos, penguins, and maybe even cats too. They got Mr. Brac back on track to keep working on our “puppy allegory (that’s another word for funny story…)”.

In Dance, we perfected our salsa dance moves and built on our choreography with Miss Erin. Through dance class, we laughed and enjoyed some fun together on the stage. So many great memories begin on the stage and we love seeing new friends and memories happening! Our two oldest groups spent some time blocking the beginning of our show with Miss Melissa and Mr. Ryan, connecting with our fellow actors and actresses. In Art with Miss Grace and Miss Bri, we made amazing Cruella De Vil masks, styling and decorating each individually, creating many laughs as we all showed off our creations. Rumor has it, there were a few dance parties as well as art wrapped up. In games with Elijah, Sean & Gavin, we spent some time outside (the rain held off!) playing a couple different games. There was a lot of energy exerted as our campers were ready for a break after enjoying their time outside.

As Day 2 came to a close, we awarded “Camper of the Day” awards to Juliana Commale & Brooke Montgomery. Come back tomorrow to hear about Day 3 (USA DAY!) and see what we’re up to! Our production of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids is quickly approaching. Be sure to gather your friends and family for our performances on Friday, June 28, 2019 at COHS at 2:00pm & 7:00pm. We hope to C-C-C you there! #CCCshines #SummerbytheCCC19
