The day has finally come! Today was our very last rehearsal day of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. Although we are sad to see the show come to an end, we are so excited to finally have an audience! The show is full of upbeat music, exciting dances, and great characters that will definitely remind you of the original Schoolhouse Rock TV shows.
We had lots of fun today rehearsing and making sure our show is the best it can possibly be. We started off the morning learning our bows. Soon, it was time for snack. We all hung out and ate before going upstairs to run the show. This was our first time using microphones and full set. It was great to get a run in this morning before going outside for recess. After recess, we all came into the cafeteria for lunch. We headed back outside for more recess after our lunch break. Later, we came inside and ran the show once again.
Tomorrow is sure to be a hectic day. We will have two performances, Mass, and dinner all in one day! Camp has always been a great time for everyone involved since they began it in 2011. Catholic Community Choir’s first summer camp was Jungle Book Kids and it took place at St. Kevin’s. Soon the CCC shows started to take place at Cardinal O’Hara High School during the 2013-2014 school year. So, in the summer of 2014 CCC did their first summer camp at O’Hara. We’ve been performing there ever since. We love the amazing auditorium we now have access to. Thank you O’Hara for letting us use the theater!
We can’t wait for you to see our performances of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr., sponsored by Mr. Dave White, on Friday, August 18th at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available online or at the door. The ticket link is here. Keep reading our blog for daily updates of camp!
