Today has been another great day putting together Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. The campers are having so much fun learning the new music and dances. They’re also all becoming great friends, which is so nice to see. Each staff member is working very hard to make sure all the campers are having a great time!
We’ve had a busy day at camp today. During stage time we learned the music to “Three is a Magic Number,” and reviewed the vocals to “A Noun is a Person, Place, or Thing.” During dance class the campers started learning the dance to “The Preamble.” In art class they started to make planets, which will be painted tomorrow. Today one of the junior staff members, Melissa, taught an acting class to the older campers. Throughout the class they discussed connecting with the other actors on stage and making good character choices. The campers loved it and are looking forward to the next class. Last, but not least, in games the children played Dodgeball and had so much fun!
The staff has been working incredibly hard on getting a head start on our set. The A Year With Frog and Toad Kids set is completely taken down and we are now starting to create our Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. set! We can’t wait for you to see our show on Friday, August 18th at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available online or at the door. The ticket link is here. Keep reading our blog for daily updates of camp.
