Today is one of the campers’ favorite days of camp, water day! On water day we rent big blow up water slides to put in the field outside by the tennis courts. The campers have about an hour and a half to two hours to play outside with the waterslides and water balloons. All the campers love water day because it is usually very hot inside of O’Hara, so the waterslides are a good way of cooling off. Catholic Community Choir has been having one water day each camp since their very first camp six years ago. It is a great day for all to enjoy!
Although we spent a lot of time outside today we also got some work done. During stage time we reviewed the vocals for “Down the Hill,” and “Getta Loada Toad.” We also reviewed both of those dances. After snack, the two oldest groups did their first run through of the show. While that was going on, the younger campers went outside to play on the waterslides. Soon the older campers went outside to play while the younger kids went to art class. After lunch all the campers went out together and had a great time staying cool on this super hot day!
One week from today is our show! It’s crazy to think how fast time is going by. We can’t wait for all of you to see it. Make sure you buy your tickets. The ticket link is here. We are very excited for next week!
