Today’s theme day is Wacky Wednesday! The campers dressed up in the craziest clothes they had and did the funniest hairstyles they could think of. It is a super fun theme day that everyone can enjoy. Since today is day 3 that means there is only 7 camp days left! That’s not too much time to pull the show together, but our campers are working so hard to get this show done and to make it great for our two performances on July 28th at 2pm and 7pm.
So much has been happening today. In vocal class the campers have been learning “Letters #1, #2, and #3,” “Cookies,” and they have been reviewing “Getta Loada Toad.” The oldest group has been learning “Leaves: A Year with Frog and Toad” and “A Year with Frog and Toad (Opening).” In art class the younger groups worked on their kiss bags while the older campers worked on pictures of frogs and toads. These will all be seen in the lobby on the day of performances. In games the campers played “Going on a Picnic.” And last but certainly not least, in dance class the campers learned the dances to “Letters #1, #2, and #3.” Every camper is working so hard!
For the past three days, the campers have been going to Faith Formation with Mr. Field. There, the campers learn about Bible stories, saints, and how much God loves us. This is held in the chapel on the second floor of O’Hara. It is a great time to relax and cool off in the air conditioning. The campers also have stage time twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon. During stage time, the whole cast practices the vocals and the dances to big group numbers of A Year with Frog and Toad Kids. The show is coming up soon, so buy your tickets now!
