Today is another great day at Catholic Community Choir! The campers started learning new music and are starting to really love the show. There is a lot happening all around CCC. While the campers are learning new music and dances, Thomas Dempsey, a recent graduate from Cardinal O’Hara High School who was very involved with theatre during his time in high school, has been cleaning out the costume room. Thomas Dempsey recently had the role of Joseph in O’Hara’s production of “Joesph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and he also won a Cappie Award for his role as The Cat in the Hat in “Seussical” in 2016. He has been cleaning the costume room, which is located above the stage and holds all of Cardinal O’Hara’s and Catholic Community Choir’s costumes for shows. Thomas took on the task of making sure all the costumes are in the correct place and are all looking tidy. We can’t thank him enough for his hard work up there.
In vocal class today the leads started learning new music. They learned “The Letter #1 and #2” and “Cookies.” In dance class the campers continued to learn the dance to “Getta Loada Toad.” In games campers played European dodgeball with Mr. Babcock and his son, Elijah. Elijah recently graduated from St. Francis located in Springfield and will be attending Cardinal O’Hara next year. In art class the campers made paper frogs and toads. Lots of the art made here at camp will be hung in the lobby during the shows on Friday, July 28th.
