Today is the day! It is the first day of A Year with Frog and Toad Kids! This marks the beginning of Catholic Community Choir’s 31st production season. Everyone is so excited to see this show come together and to work with this amazing cast. A Year with Frog and Toad Kids is based off the popular children’s books written by Arnold Lobel. It follows the adventures Frog and Toad have during their year, such as; sending letters in the mail, swimming, baking cookies, raking leaves, sledding, Christmas, and much more! It is a great show with fun music that each camper will definitely enjoy being apart of.
The cast has already began working incredibly hard on this show. Today during stage time the president and founder of Catholic Community Choir, Mr. Brac, began teaching the campers “Getta Loada Toad.” He also reviewed that music in vocal class. The campers began learning the dance to “Getta Loada Toad” in dance class, taught by Miss Erin and Miss Rachel, our amazing dance teachers. Today in games Mr. Babcock and Mr. Field played “crab soccer.” Sounds like lots of fun! In art class today the campers decorated their kiss bags. Kiss bags are put out in the lobby during the performances for friends and family to leave nice notes and candy for the campers. Lastly, our Frog, Andrew McCarthy, and our Toad, Jacob Babcock, worked on blocking a few scenes with Grace and Billy.
We can’t wait to keep you updated on highlights, news, and more throughout the rest of A Year with Frog and Toad Kids!
