June 20, 2017 – Today was another exciting and successful day at Catholic Community Choir’s Annie Kids Camp! This morning our campers went straight to work reviewing what they had learned yesterday as well as learning a new song, “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile”.

After a brief snack break, it was time to get creative in Art Class! The campers were extremely excited to make paper suns in class today. The suns represent the theme of Annie, that “the sun will come out tomorrow.” The campers were assisted by staff members Amanda Cunningham and Ms. Kelly. Amanda is a recent graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, where she participated in the stage crew each year and was the paint chief in her senior year. Amanda will also be assisting with scenic design of Annie Kids. Ms. Kelly is the teacher for the four year old class at Crescendo Academy and a graduate of Cabrini College. The children have really been having a great time in Art Class and love Amanda and Ms. Kelly. You will be able to check out the artwork in the lobby on show day, next Friday!

The campers also got to grab some fresh air in games today! We played blob tag, protect the president, and dodgeball. The campers were glad to take a break from classes and have some fun outside. The children were led by Mr. Babcock, Jeremy Fratoni, and Elijah Babcock. This is Mr. Babcock’s first summer with CCC. Mr. Babcock is a history teacher at Strath Haven High School and volunteers throughout the school year at CCC. He is also the father of four children, who are all involved with CCC. One of his sons, CCC alum Elijah Babcock, is also helping out this summer as a volunteer staff member. Jeremy Fratoni is a recent graduate of Cardinal O’Hara who will be entering his second year at Penn State University in the fall. The children are really enjoying their time in the various classes and look forward to new experiences every day!

Don’t miss your chance to share in the fun! Come see Annie Kids on Friday June 30th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets can be purchased here. See you tomorrow for another update on camp!
